About the Park

James Bute Park is a 1.5 acre park is within the historical Frost Town site. Park was named after James Bute, I, who was a major contributor to the development of Houston at the turn of the century and his grandson the late James “Jim” Bute IV, who was an advocate of the McKee Street Bridge.
