The Precinct 2 Park Reservations department is responsible for processing reservation inquiries for various park pavilions and facilities within the area. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.


How to Begin the Booking Process
Begin the booking process by choosing from the list of venues below and calling the appropriate reservationist number. You can also complete a Booking Inquiry Form online by selecting the venue of your choice. The form is located towards the bottom of the specific venue page. Remember, these methods only place a request for more information regarding the venue. It does not confirm a reservation.

*Note: Paid rental facilities are closed on Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. However, t
he parks are still open on these holidays.

Confirming Reservations

All reservations are held up to 14 calendar days from the date it is first scheduled.  They are not confirmed until a signed reservation contract and/or rental and deposit fees (if applicable) have been received by the Parks Reservations Department. 

Arrival and Departure Time

Rental periods include both set-up and clean-up times.  Be sure to plan accordingly and allow enough time to clean up and vacate the space by the end time stated on the contract.

Payment Options

The Parks Department only accepts payment in the form of money orders, cashier’s checks, and organizational checks. Two separate forms of payment are required for the rental and clean-up deposit. Rental checks must be payable to “Harris County Treasurer.” Clean-up deposit checks must be payable to “Harris County Treasurer” or your own name, so that you can cash it when it is returned to you.

Damage/Clean-up Deposit Returns

Clean-up deposits will be refunded after satisfactory inspection of the facility has been conducted.  You must pick up or request the deposit to be mailed to you within 30 days after the event.  If you do not pick up your deposit or request for it to be returned by mail within those 30 days, Harris County will deposit the funds.  Harris County is not responsible for deposits returned through the United States Postal Service.

*Note: Promotional or special events in Parks may require a damage/clean-up deposit of up to $1,000.

Cancellation Refunds

Reservation cancellations will result in a cancellation fee of 25% of the total rental fees. To receive a refund for a cancelled event, a written request for cancellation must be submitted to the Parks Office during office hours, which are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at least 30 days prior to the event. Refunds will take 6-8 weeks. Event no shows will not receive a refund.

Security

Security personnel is required for all reservations made at the Clear Lake Park – Landolt Pavilion, Clear Lake Park – Meeting Room, Clear Lake Park – White Top Pavilion, North Shore Rotary Pavilion, and any event where alcohol will be served.  Events offering alcohol require a two officer minimum.  All other events require one deputy for every 100 guests.  The deputy fee is $30 per hour for each officer. A minimum of four hours is required for scheduling. 

You must employ and pay the required number of peace officers, who will provide security during the reserved period.  Your reservationist will direct you to the appropriate police agency.  Officers will be paid in cash upon arrival at the beginning of the event.

Alcohol Sales Permit

You are responsible for contacting Tobacco Alcohol Beverage Commission (TABC) at 713-426-7900 for a permit.  A copy of the permit must be supplied to the Parks Department and displayed the day of the event.

Food Sales

You are responsible for contacting the Harris County Consumer & Environmental Health Division at 713-439-6270 or Pasadena Health Department at 713-475-5529.
