Commissioner Adrian Garcia did not seek this office to allow business to continue as usual in Harris County. Since taking office, he has charged ahead with significant changes to make county government one that works for all residents of Precinct 2.

We are taking all the necessary measures to make sure we continue to keep our parks safe for our communities. All of Precinct 2 Parks are being sanitized thoroughly every day with the specialized equipment.

The safety and well-being of our communities come first in Precinct 2. We understand that during this time food accessibility can be limited due to vacant grocery stores. However, the Houston Food Bank, school districts, as well as other organizations are working together to host food distributions in various areas, in efforts to address the food insecurity while following social distancing procedures for the safety of the community.

As National Hispanic Heritage month approaches, it is important to not only look back and recognize the accomplishments of the Hispanic/Latino community but to also honor all of our Hispanic/Latino veterans, who have made history by fighting for our rights and have helped drive hard-won progress for all the community.
