COMMISSIONER ADRIAN GARCIA STATEMENT ON APPOINTMENT OF CHRISTOPHER HOLLINS AS HARRIS COUNTY CLERK
Harris County, TX — TODAY, May 19, 2020, Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia issues the following statement in support of the appointment of Christopher Hollins to become the Harris County Clerk for the remainder of 2020. Hollins’ term begins June 1st, when current clerk Dr. Diane Trautman’s resignation becomes final.
"I am thrilled that Chris Hollins decided to accept this appointment to become the County Clerk for the remainder of the year, with a commitment not to run for the remainder of the term. He is incredibly qualified, and I am confident he will do an excellent job leading the county’s elections division, in addition to his other assigned duties. Chris has an impeccable resumé - from his Morehouse, Harvard and Yale education, to his experience as an attorney and high-level management consultant at McKinsey, Chris understands how to manage complex systems and is uniquely suited to handle his new responsibilities. I welcome him to Harris County. I also thank Dr. Trautman for her service to Harris County. It was a pleasure working with her, and she will be missed.”
