Harris County Precinct 2 is dedicated to promoting better health for senior citizens by providing them with FREE nutritious and tasty hot meals throughout the week. The organization provides these services through congregate meals at designated Community Centers, as well as home deliveries for individuals who qualify. Home Delivery Eligibility
After submitting an application, a Harris County representative will evaluate your conditions. Evaluations include assessing your ability to perform daily activities such as food preparations and shopping, how often you leave your home, as well as your access to other assistance services. Note: All information gathered is totally confidential, and records are kept at the Harris County Precinct 2 service provider’s office.
You may qualify for home deliveries if you are:
Ages 60 and over.
Homebound due to illness, disability, or frailty.
Unable to prepare nourishing meals due to limited mobility, psychological, or mental impairment.
Without resources such as family and friends.
